Many of you spent the Fourth of July watching fireworks and spending time with loved ones. Fireworks are a very obvious way to celebrate. People all over can look up into the sky and see them.  This got me thinking about Christianity. We should be celebrating our Savior every day with as much exuberance.  Fourth of July is about our freedom as Americans, but our relationship with Jesus is about something even greater: everlasting life and love with our Heavenly Father.

Most Christians can quote John 3:16 from heart. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life,” is one of the best verses to share with others. The verse describes God’s sacrifice and our eternal gift. This is something we should celebrate every day of our lives!  Does this mean we have to shoot fireworks off every day? No, of course not! Our actions and words can show how we are proud to be children of God.

What is a way that you celebrate your relationship with Christ? Is it obvious to others that you are a Christian?  What can you do differently so that people can learn from your example?
