On January 20, 2017, the 45th President of the United States of America took the following oath of office.

“I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Regardless of political opinions, Christians should commit to PRAY. We must pray for the President and everyone who surrounds him.  We must pray for our government as a whole.  We must pray for revival in the hearts of all Christians and salvation for the lost among us. We must pray for the United States of America, one nation under God.

We stand united no matter the hardships and arguments we may have with each other.  “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand,” (Mark 3:24 ).  We have all heard the saying “United We Stand; Divided We Fall.” We must focus on what unites us and pray for God to heal the divisions among us.

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God,” (Romans 13:1).  Isn’t it comforting knowing that God is in control? God’s hand is there at all times guiding His people.

“He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding,” (Daniel 2:21).  Pray faithfully. Follow and trust the Lord, and the outcome will be grand!
