What a powerful phrase!  In that triumphant moment, our lives were changed forever. Our Savior died for our sins and rose again, so that we could have eternal life up in heaven with him!  Easter reminds us of his unfailing love and encourages us to live for Him.

Sometimes we find ourselves becoming too consumed with earthly Easter traditions that we forget the true meaning behind the holiday.  Easter is a time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, but we also should be grateful for the sacrifice and pain that was endured in order for our Savior to rise.

Luke 24:5-9 5 “And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. And they remembered his words, And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.”

Imagine being one of those who found his tomb empty!  The joy that radiated from his followers would have been contagious as they celebrated. He died for each and every one of us despite all the sins we commit.  Rejoice in Him!
